About the firm

Ownership as a responsibility, capital as patience

Kilverstone is a private investment and advisory group headquartered in London. We were founded on a simple conviction: that the best owners are the ones who can afford to wait, and the best advisers are the ones whose own capital is at stake.

Our story

Built by owners, for owners

Kilverstone began as a private holding vehicle for a small group of operators and principals who had spent their careers building, financing and running companies — and who had grown tired of capital that arrived with a stopwatch.

We set out to assemble something rarer than money: patient, permanent capital, paired with people who have carried real operating responsibility. Capital that could buy a founder time rather than sell them a countdown. Counsel that carried conviction because our own balance sheet stood behind it.

Today the group invests its principal capital across established operating businesses, venture and growth-stage companies, and real assets, and advises founders, families and boards on the transactions and transitions that shape the next chapter of a business. We are headquartered in London, and our interests in the United Arab Emirates are operated through European Technical, our UAE operating company.

What we believe

The convictions behind every decision

Four principles hold the firm together. They are the reason an owner can hand us a problem and expect judgement, not a sales process.

i. Patience is an edge

The ability to wait — to not be forced into a sale, a round, or a decision — is itself a competitive advantage. We structure for it deliberately.

ii. Judgement over theatre

Diligence exists to inform a decision, not to perform one. We go deep on what matters and refuse to manufacture activity to justify a fee.

iii. Alignment, not extraction

We do well only when the owners we back do well. Our capital sits alongside theirs, and our interests are designed to run together over the long term.

iv. Discretion by default

Many of our most important relationships are never publicly known. Confidentiality is not a clause to us; it is the culture of the firm.

Our approach

A small number of relationships, held deeply

We concentrate on a deliberately small number of businesses and advisory engagements. Depth, not deal flow, is how we create value.

  • We lead or co-lead; we do not crowd a capital table.
  • We engage directly with the people who own and run the business.
  • We hold through cycles, not against them.
  • We advise only where we have genuine operating or transactional conviction.

See how this works in practice

The team

Operators, principals and advisers — not just analysts

Kilverstone is deliberately small and senior. The people who make the decision are the people who do the work, and the people who do the work have run, owned and financed real companies.

Investing

Principals

Experienced investors and former operators who underwrite, structure and steward each position from first meeting to realisation.

Advisory

Advisers

Senior practitioners in M&A, capital structure and succession who have sat on both sides of the table — as principals and as counsel.

Operations

Operating partners

A trusted network of former chief executives and finance leaders we draw on for governance, hires and the hard operational questions.

Group structure

Kilverstone operates as a private group. Its interests in the United Arab Emirates — including technical and property services — are run through its UAE operating company, European Technical, based in Dubai.

This structure lets the group combine long-horizon principal capital in its private markets activities with an operating capability in one of the world's most dynamic property and services markets.

Our UAE operating company

European Technical

A licensed Dubai-based home-maintenance and technical-services company, and the group's operating presence in the UAE.

If our approach resonates, we should talk

We work with a small number of owners each year. The first conversation is confidential, informal and carries no obligation.
